PERMANENT & SAFE CO2 SEQUESTRATION

Feed Algae with CO2 from coal power stations,

(possible) capture 95% CO2 and convert into oil, 

then feed the Earth with Algae Oil, 

literally pour the oil back into empty oil wells.

An idea from 2009


It's 2010/11/12/13/14/15/16/17/18/19/20/21/22/23 and now 2024,

and no secure or viable CO2 sequestration solution has surfaced. 


Algae Oil Sequestration still stands as the best solution available - expensive but permanent.

When I mentioned this to the owner of one of the largest of algae oil manufacturers in Australia, he had a good laugh and I joined in because it is pretty crazy, then he realised I was a semi-serious - was kind of a conversation stopper. I'm not so daft to think the world would pour valuable oil back into the earth but, I rang his company for some reason and was put through to the boss, as I do from time.


It would be economic suicide for any company, but the problem is "I did think of it" so we can't put the cat back in the box - heaven forbid that one day it may become a necessity and the POSSIBLE and perhaps the only PERMANENT Carbon Sequestration technology that can do the job is Algae Oil Sequestration.


It would do the job of removing CO2 (especially from the coal-fired power plants) and safely sequester.

WHAT'S THE JOB • SUCK IT UP • STORE IT • POUR IT • CAP IT!


Set up an algae plant beside a coal-fired plant,

Sequester the CO2 emitted directly feeding the algae.


If we are really to make a difference, we could pour the algae oil back into empty oil fields removing atmospheric CO2 and capping it, sequestering and safely storing CO2 reducing the greenhouse effect and catastrophic climate change.


We may be able to dispense with full processing of algae into oil and by-pass the expense. Algae could be dried and buried, for example.


NOW THAT'S SAFE CARBON SEQUESTRATION


That will do the job that Carbon Capture & Storage technology promises to deliver in 10 or 20 years, but cannot guarantee when or how safe.
