At some point long ago in the early days of Hard Rock some zit faced teenage wanna be Rocker decided Hard Rock wasn't hard enough or fast enough. He then picked up his guitar, called some friends over to his daddy's garage and Metal was born. Was that kid Lemmy? Ritchie Blackmore? Tony Iommi? Since then Metal has spoken to and engulfed young teen males from decade through decade and has proven to be the most resilient form of Rock'n'Roll music. While other genres have waned, the above and underground Metal following has remained true and involved.
