Empowering Your Hydration
Proper hydration is not a new thing but there remain different ideas about what level of hydration is proper for us and those we love. Old myths and rules of thumb about how much water a healthy adult should consume can easily range from four cups to over a gallon of water recommended daily! These recommendations, even from reputable research and authoritative sources, can leave us questioning our overall health and wellness.
Of course, water is vitally important to our wellbeing, along with many other beneficial substances and practices. In an ordinary household, daily adequate hydration is required to properly care for pets, plants, and the like, and water is essential for many other uses such as cooking, cleaning, and hygiene.
Have you given much thought to the quality of water that is best for your body? Clean and wet is a start! But beyond those basics, how is water actually utilized in our bodies as we encounter the many and constant challenges of life?
Relatively new on the market and recently available for scientific study is the idea that the structure and effectiveness of water can be enhanced, thereby making good water even better for us. For instance, drinking alkalized water is said to enhance hydration and improve our acid-base balance and anaerobic exercise performance. This alkalized, or alkaline, water arises from the introduction of extra hydrogen into a quantity of ordinary water, changing its properties such that our bodies' cellular hydration may improve. Additionally, there is accompanying technology to make ordinary water more acidic so that it can be used for cleaning, without the addition of other cleaning agents.
These technologies are available and affordable today for retail customers!
