Himshikhar Coffee produces high quality, single origin, sustainable Arabica at 1,000–1,200 ASL.

We also source highland organic Arabica grown by small-scale farmers.

Our farm is in Nukawot, Bagmati province, 40km north of Kathmandu.

Our coffee grows in rich, fertile soil, high elevation, and ample rainfall at the foothills of Shivapuri Nagarjun National Reserve, one of the premium coffee-growing regions in Nepal.

Himshikhar Coffee Company naturally cultivates Arabica with lime, mango, pineapple, and flower flavours.

Our coffees are fine, mild, and fruity with a sweet aftertaste.

Honeybee pollination provides fruity flavours to coffee.

We look at ways to attract more bees to help our biodiversity and coffee production. We have started with five hives.

We also sell our honey as local honey but have not branded it.

We care about where our beans come from. We train our farmers in quality coffee production to ensure better prices for their harvested cherries and excellent coffee for our customers.

We support our farmers with self-employment training to generate other income sources, and we pay above market rates.

Coffee farming is a fast and comfortable cash crop for farmers. It also supports growth as a community.

The Nepali coffee industry is growing rapidly with export opportunities if our quality continues to improve. The possibilities are endless.

High quality, single origin, sustainable Nepali Arabica

High quality, single origin, sustainable Nepali Arabica

Our vision

We want to establish the quality and sustainability of Nepali single origin coffee by supporting and connecting youth and smallholder single origin coffee farmers.

We provide barista training, quality maintenance training and an awareness program for coffee production.

Himshikhar Coffee works right across the value chain with a nursery, orchard, processing unit, sales, and our café, Coffee Bhatti.

We are also planning a sustainable forestry campaign called “Grow Green”. We will be planting high value sandalwood trees in our local area to help prevent soil erosion and provide farmers with additional income.
