Connie
Connie is among my prized students. She commenced her piano studies in China and moved to Canada with her family in 2008. Due to changes in her school and move to a foreign country, Connie did not study piano for 2 years. Then this lovely girl was introduced to me.
Her previous instruction lacked the precision and delicacy associated with the most famous teachers. She was quick to learn the proper ways along with the important special "secrets" which only this Russian teacher knows. Here is proof of her success and dedication. Congratulations Connie... well done!

Diana
The 2013 Kawai Piano Stars Competition was held in The Michael J Fox Theatre. Her exceptional performance of "Malaguena" by Albeniz makes her a star.
Her 3rd place win is a remarkable achievement, as the 1st and 2nd place winners were two young and very talented gentlemen.
Elaine
Elaine has studied with me for 3 years. Prior to being my student, her skills were average and inconsistent elements got in the way of her obvious love for music and the piano due to the previous teaching methods.
We embarked upon a strategy to re focus her understanding of musical form, history, theory and of course concentration on technique.
The immensely successful outcome is a direct result of her dedication to practice along with her deep feeling for the art of piano itself.

During the world tour of the famous CD 503 Steinway D Concert Grand Piano that belonged to Vladimir Horowitz, my students had the once in a lifetime opportunity to play this most cherished and legendary instrument.
Elaine said the light touch and response made playing such a thrill and joy of love.
Emerald
Emerald sat upon my lap when she was 3. Her first lessons were a joy and she took to the piano as if it was made for her. Now after 10 years I have the honor to state, that this young lady is indeed a true musician.
Emerald has studied music theory with me and now together with her two piano lessons per week also studies music theory outside of my class. She excels in school and is simply a joy to teach

Karmen's grandmother Mercedes is a celebrated concert pianist from South America. As soon as I arrived in Vancouver, somehow Mercedes who was looking for a Russian teacher discovered me. Now 9 years later, Karmen is indeed a mature level ARCT musician.
Karmen’s early appreciation for piano instilled, in her by Mercedes, paved the way for a professional structured conservatory approach to Karmen’s musical education.

Vivian
Destined for super-stardom, Vivian constantly was the Number One pianist throughout Vancouver at her level, winning most competitions she entered. Her potential and abilities reach beyond “gifted student”. At 12 years of age, her abilities to perform Shostakovich Preludes with such a degree of comprehension and virtuosity was indeed refreshing for me. Her touch and legato across wide dimensions was simply natural….such skill. Vivian is an exceptional high achiever with the ability to go for it.
Basketball and pianos do not mix well. Prior to her attending the Russian International Music and Piano Competition in California, she injured her wrist along with a broken leg. She performed well, however did not place. In Vancouver, she did perform a few days after having her cast removed from her leg. Not quite in perfect condition, she won FIRST Place in the Vancouver Russian Piano Competition. Talk about a super achiever.

Jessie
This little doll came to me at age 4. She passed her first exam Grade 2 after her first 18 months of studying piano with me. At that time she was only 6. She loved every second of each and every lesson.
