Here's the latest you should know- Updated 4/3/26

-The April New Horizons and the April Monthly Calendar are here! Just click on either link underlined here or in the ‘Quick Links’ box above! If you’re new to the park, welcome! New Horizons is the monthly newsletter for happenings in the park. If you click on the links to either that and/or the calendar on the website, you’ll always have the latest and most up to date version.

-The Spring MFL Carport sale (also referred to by many MFL longtimers as the 'Treasure Relocation Event') is this Saturday, 4/4 starting at 8 am. While you're checking it out, stop by the Woodshop near the Clubhouse and help support the Cornhole group by buying a tasty hot dog! (For you Dad Joke fans, the Cornhole group will NOT be selling Corn Dogs....)

-The Annual Golf Cart Easter Egg Hunt is on now through Friday. There are 25 Eggs hidden in plain site throughout the park. Bring a list of where all 25 are to the Activity Directors office and get an Easter treat! (Golf Cart not required to play and/or win!)

-Here's the menus for the upcoming food events; For Food B4 Bingo on Wed 4/8, it's Baked Ziti with sausage or meatballs and bread for a mere $7 (drinks are another $1) and you'll be supporting the Children's Christmas Party while eating yummy food! How can you go wrong?!?

-We get feedback from some residents that the mobile site is hard to read sometimes and we're working to make that easier for you. (Like the extra-bold font you're reading right now!) The best way to check out the website and everything it offers is to go on your computer, iPad or tablet. If you're not comfy using your computer, come to the MFL Computer Club and they can help you. The Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 2 pm.

-If you’re not getting the weekly HOA email blast that every HOA member gets, scroll down to the box at the bottom of this page and add your address. You can also send us an email at mflhoawebsite@gmail.com and we'll make sure to add you!

A MESSAGE FROM THE HOA BOARD 3/15/26

Hello, and greetings from the Mid-Florida Lakes HOA board!

We wanted to give you a quick update.

We are working hard to try to cut some of our costs and use the money that we save on your behalf wisely. You, the members, elected us to represent you. We take this responsibility seriously; we have been meeting several times a month looking at events and procedures to see if any changes are needed and how we can make improvements to make things better for all.

Many of us are of the age that, when something happens, we must call for life saving help. It would help the emergency crews greatly (and help you especially) when they arrive if all your medical information was readily available to them. There is available what is called a vial of life. This is a small container (much like a bottle of pills) that contains all the pertinent information (allergies are just one example of things they should know to help you best) that the paramedics may need, especially if you are unable to answer their questions when they arrive. When a person is unable to communicate, all the information is readily available to the proper professionals in the vial of life. These vials are available in the HOA office, so feel free to contact any board member to get one or come by the office when the HOA is open for office hours (Tues, Weds & Thurs from 10 am-12 pm).

There are several safety tips for you we’d also like to recommend. This is the time of the year that taxes are due and the clocks were set forward. The batteries in your smoke detectors should be changed so that they’re working properly if the need should ever arise, so please don’t wait till it beeps. Change your furnace filters monthly, doing so will result in much cleaner air being circulated in your home and that will be much healthier for you. Lastly check your dryer vent for lint. Unchecked, it creates a fire hazard and prevents the dryer from drying the contents of the dryer properly. Most people just check the little lint basket where the clothes are loaded in, but if you’re able to, check the vent behind the dryer. It can build up over time and create a potential fire hazard.

Thanks for your time and attention! We look forward to seeing you at the next HOA general meeting the first Monday of every month at 2 pm!

Join the HOA! It's the best $20 you'll spend all year!

Members get all sorts of benefits for their paid memberships. To name just a few, a free pancake breakfast once a month, free coffee in the clubhouse (that's not worth $20 by itself?), discounts for many HOA sponsored events...these alone are worth more than the cost of joining. On top of that, your dues will help the HOA to be able to do so much more for the community. We're committed to doing our best to help all residents and to help bring our community together. Joining is easy! Just come to the HOA office in the Clubhouse on Tues, Wed or Thurs between 10 am and 12 noon and we'd be happy to help you! You can also reach out to a HOA board member and they'd be happy to help!

Membership also gets you the ability to speak up at the monthly HOA meeting during the 'good of the order' segment. We want to hear from you!
