Card Bingo Welcomes New Residents!
Every Thursday the doors open for Card Bingo in the Large Hall at 1:30 and seating will be started. We need to sit four at a table so if you wish to sit with friends you need to have everyone present when seated to have the table of four. If there is a table of three staff will often fill in so you can play with four and don't need a dummy hand. A dummy hand is played by turning the fourth player’s hand of 13 cards up on the table. You cannot look at those. If you are a first time player we will try to have an experienced player sit at your table so that you can soon become an experienced player as well! All game money goes back to the players.
A full deck is dealt at each table, consisting of 13 cards for each player. The idea is to be the first one to play every card. If there are multiple winners you will share the pot. When you get down to one card, you knock on the table to let the caller know that you are waiting. If your card is called out call out Bingo loud enough so that the caller will hear you.
Every week we have 10 25 cent games, 1 50 cent game and the final bonus game is $1, so you will need to stake $4 per person. In addition, there are door prizes and ‘Share the Wealth’.
