Dr. Chanell has been advocating for domestic violence awareness and mental health awareness while helping others in her community since 2021. She has been present in the community through her nonprofit organization, Kappa Epsilon Lambda Royal Christian Sorority, Incorporated, inspiring women nationally to give back to their communities while providing a safe space for women to grow and heal together. Additionally, Dr. Chanell is a President's Lifetime Achievement Award honoree for her years of supporting others through her time, skills, and talents.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS
Dr. Chanell, a domestic violence and abuse survivor, has participated in various aspects to promote domestic awareness such as sharing her story in public and online settings, participation awareness walks, and educating the global community on social media platforms. Her nonprofit organization, Kappa Epsilon Lambda Royal Christian Sorority, Incorporated is known for actively promoting and supporting survivors and those who are surviving domestic abuse.
MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS
As a certified life coach and advocate for mental wellness, Dr. Chanell has sought to be proactive towards ending the stigma through creating safe spaces within her nonprofit organization to normalize finding alternatives to support one's own mental health. Additionally, she participates in forums and walks to support mental health as well as learn new ways of helping others in the struggle.
SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY
Over the years, Dr. Chanell has not been a stranger to serving others in communities around her. Through her nonprofit organization, she along with other phenomenal women, helped children living in a women's shelter receive toys for the holidays through hosting annual toy drives. Her nonprofit organization has been recognized as "Nonprofit of the Year" for three consecutive years for making a national and global impact in the lives of others.
