Pickleball Ministry
Your Pickleball Partner in Christ

The WHEEL POWER Pickleball Ministry Team will come along side the local church, working closely with the church leaders, to help develop and grow this exciting program.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY

The Ministry Model    John 15:12-17

• We will teach the basics of Pickleball to a small group of your church members to get the program started. We will order the nets, balls, paddles and an official Rule Book for your program at a great price and will freely give an introductory clinic that will be open to everyone in your church and community.

• If needed we will teach a core group of Christians from each church about how to “Talk to anyone, anytime, anyplace about Jesus.” My book, UNTIL The Road Ends, will be the instructional manual used in the evangelism teaching sessions and copies can be purchased for church members as needed.

• We believe Pickleball will provide a way to draw people from your community to participate in this sport, as well as give them a warm and welcome introduction to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to your church.

• A church Pickleball program encourages church members and attendees to reach out to friends, family and neighbors by inviting them to participate in this fun activity.

•A church Pickleball program creates an environment that is conducive to building relationships, discipleship and fellowship.

• A church Pickleball program provides a non-threatening, wholesome, relational environment that embraces and emphasizes Christ-like attitudes, encourages spiritual growth and promotes physical fitness.

2 Part Training

Getting started-overview

“CROSS TRAINING” WORKSHOP

Have you ever wondered why it is so difficult to follow Jesus’ command to “GO AND TELL?”

Or do you find yourself tongue tied and unable to share your faith effectively to unbelievers?

If you answered “yes” to either (or both) of these questions, then this workshop is for you. The “Prepare to Share” workshop offers simple, basic techniques for sharing your faith with time-proven conversation starters for witnessing.

Meet Dr. Judy Bowman, the workshop teacher who is an evangelist/missionary to the USA and founder of WHEEL POWER Christian Cyclists. Judy has been on the road, pedaling her bicycle and taking teams of adults on mission trips across America since 1990. The team will stop and share Jesus with everyone they meet along their journey and in the evenings, Judy teaches Christians, in local churches where the team sleep each night, about how to share their faith with passion and purpose to total strangers.

The Workshop is designed to give you some basic questions to ask strangers and the n to know how to respond to their comments. Remember there is no fear when we have faith. Psalms 27:1 says, “The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid?”

The Holy Spirit will speak through us if we are willing to pray, be prepared and then open our mouths top proclaim As followers of Jesus Christ, we have a responsibility to Go and Tell others who He is. Yes, everyone we meet, know and love needs to hear about Jesus. Please come out and brush up on your witnessing skills or learn how to share the GOOD NEWS!

(John 15:16; Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8) (John 15:16; Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8)

Learning how to ask caring questions can start a wonderful and meaningful conversation with a total stranger and could lead to their Salvation.

I have often said that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. I have found that so true in my life since salvation in 1978. When I reach out to share the Truth with someone, showing compassion and with a genuine caring attitude, it is hard for them to just walk away.

Here’s a couple questions I have asked thousands of people and what interesting responses I have heard.

Q1 - Do you know what Jesus did for you? I ask that question as I hold out the small wooden cross I wear around my neck.

Q2 - After your life on earth is over, where will you spend your eternity?

Remember death isn’t something to FEAR, but rather something to PREPARE FOR!

As believers, I am convinced that we must be faithful to the Lord’s command and follow Jesus’ teaching: Matthew 28:19-20 and John 15:16.
