Congratulations to our CNJDHA Past president, & Treasurer!!

The entire Executive Committee and its members would like to congratulate Deborah Locke on being the recipient of the 2024 Carol King Award for Advancing the Profession of Dental Hygiene! Your commitment and dedication to the students and the profession are valiant. We are so proud to have learned from you and to have worked beside you. Thank you for being a continued contributor to the success of the Central component of the NJDHA.

Congratulations Tejaswi Lakshmi Kota

On Tuesday, April 29th, Central had the privilege of meeting Teja, a freshman in the Middlesex College dental hygiene program. Teja applied to and was chosen to receive both of Central's scholarships for 2025. She was presented with her awards surrounded by peers.

Remembering 2024

central brings awareness to dental hygienists

Central Component has been a bright light for the community. We have highlighted dental hygienists' role as primary preventive health specialists. Throughout the country, legislators are considering bills that would increase access to care, reduce restrictions on dental hygienists and consumers' ability to obtain our services. Also in some states legislators are considering bills that would lower the standard of care by allowing dentists to hire assistants to perform something that superficially seems like dental hygiene care. NJDHA and ADHA put a lot of effort into informing legislators. We are also informing the community.
