It was really great to see that other organizations believe and support our agenda. When we first heard about Unichem Ghana Limited wanting to sponsor one of our screening programmes we thought it was just one of those promise and fail schemes but thankfully they came through and put a smile on our faces (Naami, Founder)
Great experience that my team and I will never forget espescially when we met different individuals from different background who were united for a course. (Evelyn)
RN Vicentia was our first volunteer. She placed in alot of calls to join but circunstances couldn't allow. She finally came through during one of our screening programmes and she stayed with us. Thank you RN Vicentia
Hearing is a gift that we must all learn to cherish
Our CEO/Founder joined the ENT group Volta Regional Chapter to celebrate World Hearing Day at Akatsi College of education.
At Gifted Ears Gh, we believe in educating the young ones in order to instill healthy and proper habits in them. 200 pupils from the Compassion programme were screened and educated on safelistening practices.
The North Tongu District Chief Executive officer happened to be at one of our screening programmes in his constituent and got his ears examined.
“Hearing loss does not only affect the victim, it robs him/her off the very purpose of existence. Do all you can to hear” --- CEO. Studies have shown that uncorrected hearing loss gives rise to poorer quality of life, related to isolation, reduced social activity, and a feeling of being excluded, leading to an increased prevalence of symptoms of depression (Arlinger, 2003). If you want to stay connected to family and friends then we edge you to practice safelistening and protect your ears from excessively loud sounds.
