Children are important at First Southern Baptist Church. We want to provide a safe, fun, encouraging place for children to grow in faith. Children can hear and experience the word of God through a variety of learning activities. We incorporate music, Bible lessons, and hands-on-activities that help bring the Bible stories to life. Our teachers and leaders are caring and loving. They desire to show God’s love as they teach His Word. Each worker has had a background check and is required to take a Child Safety course that has been approved by our personnel committee to ensure the safety of your children.
Kid Connect begins at 9:30 and ends at 10:30 each Sunday. Children meet in large group for singing and an introduction to the lesson for the week. Then they break into age appropriate groups to dig further into God’s word. Kid Connect classes are available for Nursery through 5th grades.
Kidzs Church is released during our worship service for children 4 years old through the third grade. During Children’s Church, children are taught a Bible lesson, play games, and make a craft about the Bible lesson.
Wednesday Night Kids Blast combines an interactive Bible lesson, games, and crafts for a great night learning about how to be the salt and light together. We meet from 6:30 to 8:00 during the school year.
