ESCF IN UK
                                  About

ESCFUK CIC (07671762) is a non-profit social enterprise established in 2011 under The Companies House Act 2006. Committed to serving our community, ESCFUK operates as an asset-locked Community Interest Company, dedicated to the betterment of Ethiopians and other disadvantaged communities in the UK.

ESCFUK is the result of a merger between two Ethiopian organizations, ESCF UK and ESCO, which combined the name of one with the logo of the other to form ESCFUK in 2011. Our primary focus is on promoting the rich cultural heritage of Ethiopia and empowering its youth through sports and other activities. In addition to promoting sports and culture, the Federation is also committed to fostering social cohesion, raising funds for non-profit organisations, and representing our community at the global level through the Ethiopian Sports and Culture Federation.

Our mission is to bring Ethiopians together and foster synergy to develop networking and a culture of support within the community. We aspire to cultivate a healthy, confident, and entrepreneurial community capable of integrating into society at large. As a non-profit and impartial organization, ESCFUK is committed to upholding the principles of Equality and Diversity, as well as complying with all fundamental laws of the UK.

Continuing its community mission, in 2019, the Federation took a significant step forward by passing a resolution to draft a new plan and strategy, paving the way for the recruitment of new committee members. This exemplifies our commitment to providing opportunities for young Ethiopians to assume leadership roles within our community. As the saying goes, "success without a successor is a failure." We the Federation take proud in nurturing a new generation of leaders to carry forward the vision of ESCFUK.

In Summation, as a federation, we are dedicated to honouring the rich cultural heritage of Ethiopia and nurturing community spirit through dynamic events and activities. Our journey commenced with the inaugural annual festival in June 2011, held at the Hive on Camrose Avenue in the London Borough of Harrow. Since then, ESCFUK has successfully orchestrated eleven consecutive festivals, each passionately advocating for Ethiopian culture, sports, and community unity. Furthermore, these festivals hold a central position in our mission to unite Ethiopians, fostering a deep sense of belonging and pride. They offer a platform for the vibrant display of our cultural heritage, the cultivation of talent, and the establishment of meaningful connections within our community.
