Jewellery Care
At present, all of our Adorn You products are stainless steel and hypo-allergenic; not likely to cause an allergic reaction. Stainless steel has the ability to resist corrosion, oxidation and is durable. Our products will not tarnish, rust, or turn your skin green, despite being worn daily. Below are some methods that can be used for cleaning your Adorn You piece:
Mild Soap and Water Instructions
- The most simple way to clean your jewellery is with a good rub using a soft lint free cloth, if not- use warm water & mild soap. This aids in removing any pollutants and grime on your jewellery. Remember – only use mild liquid soap.
Soak your piece of jewellery in a bowl containing a mixture of mild soap and warm water and let it sit for several minutes.-
Next, using a soft cloth rub the jewellery. (For hard to reach areas, like engravings, you can use a soft-bristled toothbrush that will ensure you reach those hard to reach places).
Once fully cleaned, ensure you have dried your piece with another lint-free cloth to remove potential water spots.
Toothpaste and Water Instructions
With the toothpaste method it is imperative that you are cautious of the type of toothpaste you use. You must avoid toothpaste with whitening agents as they tend to be too harsh.
- Dampen the corner of a soft cloth with warm water and squeeze a small amount of toothpaste onto the cloth.
Next, rub the cloth across the surface of your jewellery piece. (For hard to reach areas, like engravings, you can use a soft-bristled toothbrush that will ensure you reach those hard to reach places).
Using warm water, rinse your jewellery piece and pat dry with a clean soft towel.
Once fully dry, polish your piece with a soft lint free cloth.
Baking Soda and Water Instructions
Baking soda can be an effective cleaner for stainless steel jewellery.
- In a small bowl, combine 2 parts baking soda to 1 part water to create a thick paste.
Next, dip a soft-bristle toothbrush into the mixture and gently scrub your jewellery piece.
Using warm water, rinse your jewellery piece and pat dry with a clean soft towel.
Once fully dry, polish your piece with a soft lint free cloth.
