Carolyn Jean (CJ) is the heart and soul behind CaliGirl by CJ, a lifestyle brand born from faith, sunshine, and a love for the California coast. With a Master’s in Kinesiology, a background in teaching, wellness, and motivation, and a lifelong passion for movement and ministry, CJ has dedicated her life to helping others live healthy, confident, and faith-filled lives.
Her journey began on the sun-drenched boardwalks of Balboa Beach, where as a little girl she skated along the coast wearing a cute short and shirt outfit her parents bought her that read “CaliGirl.” That joyful moment planted a seed — one that would later bloom into a brand that celebrates everything she loves: faith, fitness, freedom, and fun.
Over the years, CJ has traveled the world — from Africa and the Middle East to Europe, Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, the Caribbean, and across America — sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and teaching people about faith, healing, and freedom. Her travels have also led her to Waikiki Beach, a place she lovingly calls her “home away from home” — where the waves, sunshine, and aloha spirit mirror the heart of her brand.
She combines her gifts for motivational speaking, fitness coaching, and prayer to inspire others to live with purpose, health, and joy. Through CaliGirl by CJ, she brings together her passions for wellness, design, and faith, creating meaningful pieces that remind others to shine their light, live boldly, and celebrate life’s beauty.
