• 1st Events – Kalakarshanam - Sunday August 30, 2026

Kalakarshanam is a vital Hindu temple ritual, often performed before renovation or a Mahakumbhabhishekam, that symbolically withdraws the divine energy ("Kala" or "Shakti") from the main deity's idol (Mulavirat) and transfers it into holy vessels (Kumbhams). This consecrated energy is then placed at a sacrificial altar (Yagasalai) and later transferred to a temporary, smaller shrine known as a Balalayam, allowing renovation work to occur on the main temple without compromising the deity's presence.

Temple's 12th Anniversary - Maha Kumbhabhishekam

A Hindu temple's 12th anniversary, or often referred to as a Maha Patotsav or Maha Kumbhabhishekam, is a significant milestone involving major re-consecration rituals to renew the spiritual energy of the deities. This cycle often includes special prayers, homams, and bathing the idols with holy water (Abhishekam) to re-energize the temple. As prescribed in the Agama Shastras, this ceremony restores and amplifies the deities' divine presence (Sannidhyam) through Vedic chants, homams, and the ritualistic pouring of sanctified water (Abhishekam) from sacred Kalashas onto the temple’s Vimanam, Raja Gopuram, and Deities, invoking divine grace and auspiciousness. Maha Kumbhabhishekam ensures the temple remains a spiritually vibrant and sanctified space where devotees seek blessings, inner peace, and spiritual elevation. Through Sankalpa (devotional intent), Pujas, Homas, and Sevas, devotees can offer prayers, receive divine grace, and be part of this sacred milestone for our temple. We warmly encourage everyone to take part in this momentous occasion. Your presence. prayers, and generous support will ensure the success of this Maha Kumbhabhishekam and preserve the temple’s divine traditions for generations to come.
