The author shares how she spent the first 15 years of her life in a refugee camp in Uganda, and her journey to the United States. She also shares how she survived sickness as a child, sexual abuse, constant hunger, and forced marriage to become a successful entrepreneur. 

This is a powerful read about triumph over trauma. My strength to reach my highest potential is on display in every chapter with tantalizing stories of me and my struggles. My journey through challenges as a child living in a refugee camp with little food has been described as incredible.
