A short walk up the beach there is a 26 hectare nature reserve consisting of an estuary, dune forest and coastal forest. There are 2 nature trails open to the public through the Umhlanga nature reserve. There is a 3km walkway on the beachfront from the nature reserve along the front of all the apartments to the shopping area in the village where there are a large variety of restaurants and shops as well as ATM machines. A few minutes way is the Gateway Theatre of Shopping complex which is one of the largest shopping complexes in Africa

The kitchen is well equipped with a large fridge but no washing machine and tumble drier - there is however a communal laundry in the building. The living area comprises a dinette area and a comfortable lounge with flat screen TV, including DSTV access, that leads on to the balcony and garden. You have the use of the communal gardens, barbecue facilities and swimming pool.
